Jaccy welcomes you to Pumula . . . the zulu name for "Tree under which we rest"
Our home is your home

Our homely 10 acre farmstay is hidden amongst the trees, trees, and more trees, with stunning vistas all around, and the sound of the NZ Tui a constant companion. and oh yes . . . don't forget the donkeys calling for their breakfast in the morning.

Jaccy was born in raised in New Zealand, and John is originally from South Africa, coming over to New Zealand at the age of 15, so sees himself as a kiwi.
Jaccy has spent time in South Africa, falling in love with the vast African scenery, and has always had a dream to have her own farmstay with the zulu name, Pumula.
Both Jaccy and John have been living in Christchurch for the last 15 years, running a student homestay, until John retired from his city job 5 years ago. They sold up and came to Oxford, and who would have thought . . . Jaccy discovered a love for donkeys! Now there are 7. Sadly John has passed away in 2010 and Carol has joined Jaccy to help run the B&B.

An unhurried tranquil life
"We invite you to our home away from home. Come an enjoy the unhurried tranquil lifestyle of rural New Zealand, with city life when you want it in Christchurch, just 45 minutes away".
Relax in our comfy BB, take a walk through the trees, or join us for family meals on the patio.

It's a donkeys' life!
Bertie, one of our first donkey's is just lovely. If you take a walk amongst the trees, Bertie and his buddies follow, constantly nudging us for carrots. And of course, lounging about under all those trees is such hard work.
Clever Sam!
Our donkeys take part in shows and have won heaps of medals, and are often very busy over the Xmas period taking Mary to Bethlehem, or just taking the grandchildren for rides.
Come as a guest . . . leave as a friend.
